The next day after the house was finished, Mina was led through the forest with her eyes closed. Tails had her by the hand.

"Okay Mina," Tails said, "you can look now."

"Wow! Tails, you've really outdone yourself," Mina said, "This house looked great!"

Tails and Mina walked inside a newly-built wooden hut and looked everything adorned and painted.

"Tails, I love it!" Mina smiled.

"Let's make chili dogs for lunch!" said Tails.

Mina sat on the table. Tails wore an apron and toque. He opened up the pot, revealing hot dogs in boiling water. Using a fork, he took two and put them in two toasted hot dog buns. He opened fridge, took one pound of brown ground beef, some onions, peppers and mushrooms, one large can of crushed tomatoes, a 8 oz barbecue sauce, chili powder, cumin, oregano and one large can of red kidney beans out of it and closed the fridge with his foot. He took them to kitchen counter, chopped the onions, peppers and mushrooms with his two spatulas, carried the ingredients to a pot, put a ground beef, and ½ cup each of chopped onions, peppers and mushrooms in that pot. He used a can opener to open a can of crushed tomatoes, carried it to a pot and poured the crushed tomatoes and a barbecue sauce in the pot. He also put a teaspoon each of chili powder, cumin and oregano in a pot, opened a red kidney beans with a can opener, and poured them in that pot. He threw the cans into the trash on the other side of the room. He whistled while it was cooking in sauce and then took a wooden spoon to mix the content until it started boiling. He tasted what was on the spoon.

"Perfect!" he said.

Tails took the pot, put the pot's contents of chili on a hot dogs. Then, he finished them off by putting a few strands of cheese with a grater on them, and using a broiler to heat them until cheese was melted. He gave the dish to Mina, who was sitting at the table.

"Bon appétit," Tails said, sitting at the table.

Mina picked up the chili dog with both her hands and eat it.

"Mmmm!" Mina added. "Delicious!

"I know," Tails told Mina, "Let's go swimming."

Tails went outside his new house and walked to a lake. Suddenly, a boomerang knocked Tails off his feet into a lake. A jungle badger walked in front of him. She had orange fur with long thick hair on the back of her head, which she kept in two locks with auburn strings, and two stripes of brown fur across each of blue eyes and bushy round ears that reach the end of her hair. She had a peach muzzle with a small black nose and a medium-long bushy tail. She wore a tube top and a skirt with an auburn rope belt, each made of worn-down grey fabric stitched together, and tan fur-skin boots, one with a fur cuff and the other metal bands. She also had a golden band on her right upper arm, a spiral bracelet on her left wrist and a necklace braided with seashells and a gold ring.

"Who are you," Tails asked shyly.

"I'm Sticks the Badger," the jungle badger replied, "I'm here to kick Robuttnik's buttnik."

"Well, if Robotnik's Egg-O-Matic is undergoing repairs," Tails said. "Why didn't he crash on my couch for a few days?"

"Because he is a toad-faced, egg-bellied slimeball!" Sticks answered.

Tails looked nervously at Sticks and stood up.

"Sticks, I need to go..."

Before Tails could finish, Sticks pointed her finger at something.

"Come on, Tails," Sticks replied, "Let's go!"

Tails and Sticks ran off. Meanwhile, at Sonic's house, Sonic was on his couch, reading a magazine when he heard a knock. He zipped to the door, and opened it. Dr. Robotnik was outside.

"Hi!" Dr. Robotnik said.

"What do you want?" Sonic asked annoyed.

"First of all, thank you for answering the door at such a late hour," Robotnik said. "I realize what an inconvenience this must be--"

"Get to it, Robuttnik," said a voice.

"What's that?" Robotnik asked, turning around to see a familiar orange two-tailed fox with light blue eyes, red and white sneakers shoes and white gloves, and a familiar orange/brown jungle badger with blue eyes, hairbands, necklace strung with various objects, grey tube top, metal spiral bracelet, golden bracelet, grey skirt with auburn rope belt and tan, unmatched fur-skin boots.

"Tails? Sticks? Why are you here?" Robotnik grumbled. "My evil lair was destroyed in the storm. I was crashing with Sonic for a few days until my robots rebuild it?"

"Crashing?" Tails spluttered.

Dr. Robotnik was standing between two very small robots; one had a very round red head and the other had a very cubical yellow head. The robots both had glowing light blue eyes and mouth, their torsos were compromised of a ball and square joint with thin metal bars and their end were the half of a sphere and a cube, respectively. They were called Orbot and Cubot.

"Robotnik, Tails is angry at you," Orbot said.

Dr. Robotnik growled at him, but Tails brought over the Salmon Eggs Benedict with a burning fuse attachment. He looked at it while Sonic glued a whoopee cushion to Robotnik's butt. Tails and Stick ran off to their new hut, while Robotnik was about to eat the Salmon Eggs Benedict, but it exploded loudly and Robotnik was smeared in black with charred flakes falling from him and the whoopee cushion farted.

"I hate eggs! And I hate that hedgehog!" wailed Robotnik.

Meanwhile, Tails and Sticks went back to the forest house and came upon Mina relaxing in the couch

"Mina! Mina!" Tails shouted, jumped on the top of her.

"Tails, calm down!" Mina told him. "Tell me what's wrong?"

"Mina, Robotnik's going to visit Amy's house for a few days. Sonic tricked him...," Tails told her, "...and Robotnik says "I hate that hedgehog!" He quits Sonic's house and moves out to Amy's house while his lair was under repairs."

"Tails," Mina said to him, "if Robotnik, Snively, Orbot and Cubot will crash with Amy and Cream for a few days until his robots completely rebuilds his lair."

"Okay," Tails shrieked and breathed hard, panicked.

Mina stood up and looked at Tails. His mouth began to wobble, terror washing over the rest of his face and after a long moment while Mina walked off to find Sonic, he broke down, groaning exasperatedly. Tails was sweating buckets, snarling and about to strike Robotnik, but his mouth still wobbled and the tears leaked from his tightly closed eyes. He sobbed and wailed, and two waterfalls of tears gushed from his eyes.

Later, Tails lied on his bunk bed, crying and now barefoot. The door creaked open, Mina came into the room and saw Tails crying and sobbing into his pillow. She took a good look at him, and walked closer to him.

"Tails? Are you okay?" asked Mina.

"Yes, I'm okay," Tails cried, "But Robotnik was staying at Amy's house for a few days and promised that Snively, Orbot and Cubot are with him too."

Tails cried even more, his tears poured from his eyes even harder than before.

Mina felt sorry for Tails, and sat next to him.

"Sweetie, Robotnik crashes on Amy's Couch for a few days," Mina smiled at him, "You were sick yesterday, sweetie, Robotnik quits crashing on Sonic's couch by saying "I hate that hedgehog", . Don't you agree?"

Tails looked over to Mina, revealing his tear soaked face, his tears started to come out faster.

"Yes," Tails cried again.

He cried some more, then he felt something wipe away his tears, Mina was using a soft tissue to wipe Tails' tears away.

"Tails, honey, you're staying with me for a few days," Mina told him.

"I will?" Tails sobbed.

"Sure," said Mina.

"Thank you, Mina," Tails smiled.

Mina very gently wrapped her arms around Tails, holding him close to her and giving him a huge to cheer him up. She gave Tails a stuffed brown bear toy, tucked him in gently.

"Good night Tails," smiled Mina, "I'll see you in the morning.

Mina climbed up onto the top bunk bed and felt asleep. Meanwhile, located on a small barren rock island with veins of lava running across it was a white futuristic fortress on the island of the island which had an antennae in the shape of Robotnik's mustache, an outer shell surrounding it, and the Robotnik Empire logo on the side.

The layout of Eggman's fortress extended into the foundation of the island. On the front of the fortress's hill was the main entrance to the lair which was surrounded by several pillars, and beneath to the ground was the lair's sewer system. On the island also lies a small green garden with topiaries and a gazebo. The lair sported several dangerous defenses against intruders. The wall of the fortress' outer shell was covered by laser turrets and grids for inward defenses and the front entrance was protected by stationary laser sentries. Additionally, the fortress' interior rooms had camera-like laser turrets on the walls and electrified net traps to ensnare and paralyze intruders.

A man came into a large room shaped like the silhouette of Dr. Eggman's head and contained a lone chair and desk with touchpad controls. Feature high-tech computers screen on the walls which were controlled from the desk, and disco-lighting with sound systems. A man was short and slender. He was bald and had a long beak-like nose. He wore a same outfit as Dr. Robotnik - minus the buttons. The color was different as well - being green instead of red.

"Excuse, sir," said the man.

"What is it, Snively?" the voice was behind the chair.

"We will crash on Amy's and Cream's couch for a few days," said Snively.

A chair turned around, revealing a familiar obese mad scientist with a gigantic red mustache, red and yellow dictator uniform, black one-piece pants/boots with silver accents and buttons, dark blue/purple pince nez glasses and grey hexagonal-shaped goggles.

"SO DON'T YOU KNOW WHAT TIME IS IT?!!!!!" growled Robotnik, sitting up; his eyes glowed red, his voice echoed thunder, and he frightened Snively.

"Humm, 9:00," Snively giggled very nervously.

"You're late again, Slimely," Robotnik told him.

"That's Snively," declared Snively.

"What was that?!" Robotnik grunted, frightened him again.

"Sni... *cough* Sniv... *cough* Snively," Snively coughed as his teeth clattered and grabbed Robotnik's lips, "you have delicate features for a man," he grinned very nervously.

"DON'T SABOTAGE HIM, SNOOTELY," Robotnik growled again, "NOW GET TO WORK!!!!!!!!"

Snively zipped off, giggling nervously.

The next morning, the sun rised and the birds sang. The sun shined through the bedroom window as Tails and Mina waked up.

"Good morning," Tails said, tired yawning.

"Good morning," Mina said dreamily, "Oh... morning breath..."

Tails breathed in and smiled.

"I know," Tails said dreamily, "Isn't it wonderful?"

Suddenly, an alarm clock began to beep, frightened Tails, causing him to scream in agony. His fist thumped heavily on top of clock. Tails was squinting groggily and sitting up in bed. He got out of bed and went to the bathroom shower as he washed up, then to the bathroom itself as he brushed his teeth while trapped in a towel. Next he was in the bedroom, putting on his gloves, socks and shoes. Tails opened the door with a yawn, letting in Mina and Sticks. They were having breakfast. Tails sat on the table. Mina cooked bacons and eggs on the stove and brought a plate of bacon and eggs to Tails. She also brought a plate of waffles to Sticks and had a plate of french toast.

"Eat up, everyone," Mina said.

She started eating her french toast, Sticks eating her waffles and Tails eating bacon and eggs. After eating breakfast, Tails was walking outside the forest. He took off his gloves, shoes and socks and smiled. He ran barefoot around the forest. A large, colored swarm of butterflies flied into view.

"Huh?" Tails said. "Wait for me!"

He twirled his twin tails and flied around the woods. The orange barefoot fox saw a small rabbit poking its head over the edge of the stump.

"Oh, hi! Little bunny," Tails said to a rabbit, "I'm Tails. What's your name?"

The rabbit turned around and hopped away.

"Hey! Where are you going?" Tails said. "Come back!"

It hopped behind a bush. A small squirrel climbed down the tree and sat on one of Tails' five-toed bare feet. Tails looked at the squirrel on his foot and smiled.

"Hi, little squirrel," Tail said.

The squirrel ran away. Tails was surprised. He ran barefoot inside the woods. He walked forward and trip on a rick. He sighed sadly.

"Oh, Tails," he said, "you're such a slow kid."

The barefoot young fox was caught off guard with a spiked glove of a red echidna. He was startled and curled his toes really tightly in surprise. A red echidna had purple eyes and a white crescent mark on his chest. He wore a pair of white mitt-like gloves and had two spiked knuckle-claws on each hand. He also wore a fierce expression, a pair of red and yellow shoes with green cuffs and gray sextuple-bolted plates on top and a brown hat with a star-design on the hatband. He watched them nervously, standing barefoot on the ground.

"Who are you?" Tails asked.

"I'm Knuckles the Echidna," said the echidna, "the Guardian of the Angel Island and the Master Emerald. I was tricked by Dr. Robotnik into thinking that you and Sonic are thieves, so I quickly took Sonic's own Emeralds and hid them. You soon joined Sonic and you and him set off to explore and stop the despicable Dr. Robotnik while evading my cunning traps."

"Umm, Robotnik stole your emeralds and took them to Death Egg," Tails told Knuckles shyly.

Knuckles looked at his spiked hands, and Tails held his tails.

"With one of my spiked buckles, I could defeat the Eggrobo," Knuckles told Tails.

Later that afternoon, Tails walked barefoot back to his house, and Knuckles dug underground. When Tails came inside, he put his gloves, socks and shoes back on. Sticks and Mina were on the couch watching TV.

"Hi, Mina, Hi Stick," Tails said, grinning and waving at them.

"Hi Tails," Sticks and Mina both said together.

Tails looked nervously at them. He wanted to take Mina out on a date.

"Ummm, Mina," Tails asked Mina nervously, "Are we going out on a date?"

"Yes," Mina said.

Tails smiled and had an idea. He, Sticks and Mina were eating chili dogs for lunch.

"So, Mina," Tails said, "you sure are loving me so I'm taking you out on a date for dinner."

"Of course, Tails," Mina said.

Tails smiled with joy. Later, he went to his bedroom, sitting down on his bed, barefoot, resting his elbows on his knees and looking depressed, sullen and glum. He moaned as Mina came in, sat down, barefoot too, next to him.

"Tails," Mina asked, "why are you glum?"

"Because I could't even get a date for dinner theater," Tails replied unhappily.

"Don't worry, sweetie," Mina said to Tails, "I'll take out on a date for dinner theater."

"Okay," Tails moaned as Mina walked away.

Tails groaned in a wave of guilt and sadness and nearly started to cry, but a moment later he was given an idea and smiled.

Tails cut through some black fabric then sow it up. Then he took a shower, clipped his fingernails and toenails, brushed his teeth, then grabbed his deodorant off the counter and smeared it under each arm. Next he picked up a can of hair spray and squirts himself into his arm. He dressed himself in a tuxedo, put a bow tie at his collar, applied his hair gel, cologne, breath mints and cufflinks, carried a bloom of flower and tucked it into his buttonhole.

"Now I'm looking' sharp," Tails came out to see Mina Mongoose. He was surprised that a yellow mongoose wears a pale blue cocktail dress and matching high-heels. He wore earrings, necklace, bracelet and makeup.

"Hello, Tails," Mina said behind him.

Tails turned around, his eyes went very wide, his lower jaws dropped and painted heavily.

"Hi, Mina, you looked beautiful," Tails sighed wearily.

"Thank you, Tails," Mina smiled, "Tails, are you okay?"

"Yes," said Tails with relief, "I'm okay. Can we go now?"

"Yes," smiled Mina with joy, grabbing Tails and dragging him out of the house.

"I think this is a good idea," Tails said to himself.
